By registering on EkXam.com, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

Our commitment: EkXam.com is built solely for educational support. We will never sell, misuse, or exploit student or parent data. This portal is free for students — always.

2. Information We Collect

During registration, we collect the following information:

Student Details: Full name, Date of Birth, Gender, Standard/Class, Aadhar number (format validation only), Roll Number
School Details: School name, District, Pincode, Medium of instruction, School board
Contact Details (Minors): Parent/Guardian full name, Mobile number, Email address, Relation to student
Contact Details (Adults 18+): Student's own mobile number and email address
Account Data: Password (stored encoded, not in plain text)
Activity Data: Points earned, exam attempts, scores, milestones reached

We do NOT verify Aadhar numbers with UIDAI. We only check the digit format (12 digits, not starting with 0 or 1) for basic validation.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes only:

To create and manage your student account on EkXam.com
To allow you to login and access practice papers
To send OTP for account verification during registration (via email)
To calculate and display your points and milestones
To maintain your exam history and progress
For administrative purposes by EkXam.com administrators only
To improve our content and services based on usage patterns

We will NEVER use your data to: send spam, sell to third parties, use for marketing without consent, or share with any external organisations.

4. Data Storage

All student data on EkXam.com is currently stored in your device's browser localStorage. This means:

Data is stored on your own device (phone/computer) in the browser
Data is not uploaded to external cloud servers at this stage
If you clear your browser data or use a different device/browser, your data may not be accessible
We recommend keeping a note of your login credentials (parent mobile/email + password)

As EkXam.com grows, we plan to move to secure server-side storage. This Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Children's Privacy

EkXam.com primarily serves students aged 8–14 years (Std 4 to Std 10). We take special care to protect minors:

For students under 18 years, registration requires parent/guardian contact details (mobile and email)
The parent/guardian provides consent on behalf of the minor student
We do not knowingly collect information from children without parental involvement
We do not display advertisements to logged-in students of any age
